Meanwhile, Emily speaks with her parents. They question her about how she got the injury on her shoulder, and she refuses to tell them how it happened. Things begin to escalate and Emily tells them that she visited Dr. Vargas. Her dad tells her not to see that man and asks if things are happening again (meaning the messages from "A" or any sort of bullying). Emily yells that she doesn’t know and runs out of the house.
Holbrook's partner, Lt. Tanner, comes to town, intensifying their investigation into the Liars and their possible connection to Wilden's death. Emily panics when her parents come under undue scrutiny due to the manipulations of "A." Hanna bristles when Caleb tries to help her through her this latest crisis, and tries to shift the focus of the police investigation. Toby finds a new source of information into his mother's death, but it only leads to more questions.
