In the 1st T20I, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bowl first. Zimbabwe fought hard and managed to score a decent total of 143 runs on the board. Captain Raza was the top scorer with 62 of 42 deliveries. During the chase, Sri Lanka lost some early wickets but Angelo Mathews along with Dasun Shanaka helped their side to get over the line and win by 3 wickets.
