Re-imagine Aberdeen as a place where people connect, refresh and recharge. Mental health, physical health, and connection to Nature. Aberdeen is a multicultural city that has lived many lives. From fishing village to Europe Oil and Gas capital, the city now faces the challenge of redefining itself. But Aberdeen is also a place where people work hard and fight harder. There are many good people who took up the challenge of reviving the city, despite the hard times. Second Home is an art cafe in Belmont street, where Kristy doesn't just make great coffee and amazing cakes, but is also the promoter of art for all, where you can find courses that help you explore art in its many shapes and forms in an environment that is familiar and safe. Upstairs, Laura runs Breathing Space, where professionals offer yoga and pilates classes, and many more, for the body and the soul wellbeing. Many of the plants in her studio come from Highland Moss in Constitution Street, where Pam, Craig and Noel are waiting for you to explore the wide range of plants and garden ideas for the inside and the outside. All three businesses were born during COVID times, and despite the many setbacks, all three thrived. I truly believe they did because they offer more than just a service: they offer inclusion, allowing the community to connect and grow. I decided to make a short video on their businesses because I believe in service, and that's what they offer. Service to the community, to give back. And as Pam said during the interview, giving back is good Karma.
