Hollywood superstar set to join BBC drama in major coup for hit series HOLLYWOOD superstar Kit Harington is set to join the cast of the BBC’s banking drama Industry. The third series of the show will see the Game of Thrones actor appear as Henry Muck, the CEO and Founder of Lumi, a green tech energy company about to go public. The sexy series quickly gained a reputation as one of TV’s steamiest shows – largely due to leading lady Marisa Abela, who plays a sex siren Yasmin Kara-Hanai in the bonking and banking drama. Dubbed the new ‘Mad Men’, viewers get an inside view of the world of high finance following graduate recruits at a London investment bank who have six months to prove themselves before half of them are fired. Six-figure bonuses, cocaine habits and big egos are set to be depicted as the BBC drama examines issues of gender, race, class, and privilege in the workplace. Five ambitious people try to survive at Pierpoint & Co’s trading floor, as the lid is lifted on the sordid world of London’s Square Mile before the 2008 financial crash. In October, actress Myha'la Herrold confirmed HBO had renewed the series for another season, writing: “Y'all did this... Thank you so much for watching our show and sending us so much love. “I can't wait to bring you more @industryhbo. Season three is coming!” Production for the third instalment will begin this month in the UK, which will be eight episodes. After the tumultuous end of last season, Pierpoint will be looking to the future and taking a big bet on ethical investing, while the desk finds themselves front and centre in a story that runs all the way to the very top of finance, media and government. Earlier this year Kit announced his wife Rose Leslie was pregnant with their second child, admitting that he is "terrified". English actor Harington and Scottish actress Leslie, 35, met while starring together in HBO's sprawling fantasy series Game Of Thrones, which ended in 2019 after eight seasons. The couple tied the knot in 2018 at Leslie's ancestral home in Aberdeenshire before announcing the birth of their son in February 2021. Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in the US, Harington said of his two-year-old son: "We think he might be quite smart. "It's surprising, seeing as we're both actors, we're not sure quite where that has come from. "He loves applause, every time he does something good we give him applause and we're worrying that is kind of pushing him towards acting.” #hollywood #bbc #bbcdrama
