Temperatures fall widely below freezing overnight into Monday morning across the UK. Areas of sleet and snow move south across England and Wales, making icy stretches likely. Further sleet and snow showers affect Northern Ireland and heavy snow continues across northern Scotland. An amber snow warning is in force for northern Scotland, where a further 20–30 cm could fall on top of existing deep snow. Temperatures range from –2 to –5 °C, with some rural spots dipping near –10 °C. - This is the Met Office UK weather forecast for the evening of 03/01/2026.
