55 Cancri e, also known as Janssen, is a super-Earth exoplanet orbiting the star 55 Cancri A, about 40 light-years away.
Due to the high carbon content in the planet's interior, some scientists theorize that under the right conditions, the intense pressure could have transformed some carbon into diamonds. However, the extreme heat makes it unlikely that any diamonds could survive on the surface.
