The Hoover is a manipulative technique used by the narcissist to test the relationship waters with you. The narcissist will contact you suddenly out of the blue after you are well on your healing path. This hoover is meant for one sole purpose.. to see if you are still interested in them and can or will provide SUPPLY for them. The hoover is something that many people are looking forward to receiving as they are curious about how the narcissist is doing. Don’t fall for the hoover. It will set you back in your recovery and healing process. You may think you NEED TO KNOW about the narcissist.. you don’t. The narcissist has many sources of supply and you are or were one. The current main source of supply is clearly not GRADE A supply like you are and the narcissist knows this and has become bored.. which is why they are hoovering you.
