After last week’s recording breaking high pressure zone, this week we’re back to a large low in the Tasman Sea. Despite some storm aspects to this low pressure zone it’s generally quite a large and lazy low - bringing milder airflows for some, rain and cloud for others - but also some long dry spells.
Even if you’re seeing the rain or shower icon a lot this week, there is still plenty of good school holidays weather on the way.
We try to break down the rain and wind - and also if a stormy system will again affect the eastern North Island in about a week from now (definitely not locked in, but showing up in the modelling).
